Social Skills Development

What We Focus On:

  • Building social confidence and communication skills in a fun and supportive way

  • Tailored to your child’s interests, needs, and learning style

  • Strengthening emotional understanding, peer interaction, and confidence in group settings

Some of the Skills We Support:

  • Turn-taking, waiting, and sharing

  • Understanding conversations and social cues

  • Making and maintaining friendships

  • Expressing needs and emotions clearly

  • Participating confidently in group activities

How We Work:

  • Sessions are play-based, flexible, and strengths-focused

  • We use engaging tools like:

    • Role-playing (e.g. shopping, playing doctors)

    • Games with puppets, toys, and teddies to explore expression and empathy

    • Board games to practice turn-taking and teamwork

  • Each session gently builds on previous skills and celebrates every achievement — no matter how small

Where Sessions Happen:

  • In your home — where your child feels safe and comfortable

  • We bring everything needed (games, props, visuals, etc.)

  • All you need to provide is a quiet, low-distraction space (e.g. lounge room, bedroom, or outdoor area)

Session Details:

  • Sessions typically run for 1 hour (can be adjusted based on your child’s energy and attention)

  • Parents are encouraged to step away to support confidence and independence

  • Each session focuses on individual social goals and evolves as your child grows
